Spalding: This week in Spalding scholars are working on 30 words and studying phonograms.
Grammar/Writing: In Writing scholars are continuing to practice writing dictated sentences accurately, and in Grammar, they are learning about conjunctions.
History: Scholars will continue their study of Ancient Greece. They will continue to learn about the Greek Gods in preparation for our Celebration on Wednesday, 11/13.
Science: Scholars will be completing their study of the Americas and will have a quiz on Thursday, 11/14.
Math: This week scholars will test their knowledge on subtraction with a Chapter Test on Tuesday 11/12. They will also begin Chapter 4 with the concept of bar models.
Literature: Scholars are concluding their study of Greek Gods and Myths. They will also be reading the fairytale, "The Little Mermaid" by Hans Christen Anderson.
We are also continuing to practice our saying, "Easier Said Than Done".

Please keep in mind that our Celebration is this Wednesday, 11/13.
We are also excited for Literary Character Day on 11/22. Please make sure that your scholar has turned in their permission slip by 11/18 in order to participate. All plans for costumes must be preapproved by your scholars teacher before they can wear them on campus. We appreciate your consideration with this!
We are reciting our poem "Something Told the Wild Geese" from 11/19 - 11/21. Please continue to practice at home.
If your scholar is Upper school carline pick up in the afternoon, please make sure they have book to read in the MPR.
