Spalding: This week in Spalding we are writing 20 words (all cursive) and studying phonograms!
Grammar/Writing: This week in grammar we are learning to alphabetize words and in writing we are continuing to write paragraphs.
History: We will be learning about the Civil War and the role Harriet Beecher Stowe and Harriet Tubman played in it.
Science: We will take a closer look at living organisms and their habitats.
Math: This week the scholars beginning our chapter on financial literacy. We are beginning on learning the meaning of saving, spending and lending money.
Literature: This week we are continuing our classic, Charlotte's Web.
Poetry/ Saying: This week we are starting our new poem “The Lincoln” by Nancy Byrd Turner. Please have your scholar practice at home! Plan to recite 5/7-5/8
We are starting our new saying, “I’m going to turn over a new Leaf.”
