Weekly Newsletter Quarter 1 Week 7 9/23 - 9/27

 Spalding: This week in Spalding we are working on 29 words and studying phonograms.

Grammar/Writing: In writing, scholars will be learning to create, narrate, and dictate a sentence correctly.

In grammar they will continue to learn about parts of speech like nouns and verbs.

History: Students will continue exploring Ancient China, inventions, and Chinese New Year.

Science: In science, scholars will review terms from Chapters 1-4 and have a quiz on lakes, rivers, streams, and glaciers.

Math: This week scholars will be adding with three and two-digit numbers and three-digit and three- digit numbers with renaming on the ones and tens place.

Literature: In literature this week we are continuing our classic to keep, Sara Plain and Tall.

We are reviewing our poem "The Secret" and saying "Don't Judge a book by its cover."

Reminders and Updates

We are reciting "The Secret" on October 9th-11th. Please continue to practice at home.

If possible, please remember to send your scholar with a snack for Lyceum.

Please remind your scholars to have their library books at school for our next library check out.

 If your scholar is Upper school carline pick up in the afternoon, please make sure they have book to read in the MPR.
