Spalding: This week in Spalding we are working on 30 words and studying phonograms.
Grammar/Writing: In writing, scholars will narrate for detail from an illustration.
In grammar they will begin to learn about parts of speech like nouns.
History: Students will start exploring Ancient China and learn about Chinese culture.
Science: In science, scholars are exploring features of land, water and how they change the earth.
Math: This week scholars will be adding within the tens and hundreds places without renaming.
Literature: In literature this week we are continuing the Boxcar Children.
We are continuing our poem The Year, by Sara Coleridge.

Curriculum Night is Wednesday September 12th from 6pm-8pm!
If your scholar is Upper school carline pick up in the afternoon, please make sure they have book to read in the MPR.
Please practice our poem at home! We are reciting The Year on September 12th and 13th in class.
